Glendora’s “Baggy Eyes Bandit” Arrested in Anaheim Hills

Police in Glendora have reported that a serial bank robber that struck Glendora about six months ago has been arrested in Anaheim hills. Artur Stepanyan, a resident of Van Nuys, after a bank employee recognized him and called the Anaheim Pol

ice Station. The employees called the police in just the right time because they were able to catch the suspect as he was leaving the parking lot in his car. Stepanyan was charged with two bank robberies, including one that occurred at a Citibank in Placentia. The suspect was turned over to federal custody the next morning and had an initial court appearance before a federal magistrate, whom granted him bond. It is reported that the suspect confessed to robbing the Glendora Citibank as well as at least six more banks. According to FBI agents, the motive behind the string of robberies was after the suspect watched a Youtube video about a 16-year-old female bank robber who issued a not to the teller.
