Gardena Detectives make arrest in cold-case homicide

Detectives in Gardena have made an arrest and have a confession to a murder that occurred about 5 years ago in Gardena, CA. The victim was a 42-year-old aerospace parts inspector and he was killed in a Gardena motel room. Last year, detectives reinterviewed the people involved in the case, which brought out some more evidence. They discovered new details that the victim had been arguing with his brother in the motel room and they began to fight. With this new evidence, authorities got an arrest warrant for the Compton native living in Nevada. However, they could only arrest him in the state of California. So earlier this week, authorities spotted Cole on a freeway that runs along the border of California and arrested him. After some intense interrogation, Cole finally admitted to police that he committed the crime and confessed to the murder of his brother about 5 years ago.
